Yup. A PS3 e a XBox 360 são feias. Mas com o hardware da Wii, eles podiam fazer o design como queriam e manter a caixa pequena. O sistema nem deve precisar de uma ventoinha interna para arrefecer o processador, visto ser um PPC750CX. Deve trabalhar lindamente sem arrefecimento.

Why does the Xbox 360 have such an extreme amount of bandwidth? Even the simplest calculations show that a large amount of bandwidth is consumed by the frame buffer. For example, with simple color rendering and Z testing at 550 MHz the frame buffer alone requires 52.8 GB/s at 8 pixels per clock. The PS3\\'s memory bandwidth is insufficient to maintain its GPU\\'s peak rendering speed, even without texture and vertex fetches.

The PS3 uses Z and color compression to try to compensate for the lack of memory bandwidth. The problem with Z and color compression is that the compression breaks down quickly when rendering complex next-generation 3D scenes.

HDR, alpha-blending, and anti-aliasing require even more memory bandwidth. This is why Xbox 360 has 256 GB/s bandwidth reserved just for the frame buffer. This allows the Xbox 360 GPU to do Z testing, HDR, and alpha blended color rendering with 4X MSAA at full rate and still have the entire main bus bandwidth of 22.4 GB/s left over for textures and vertices.

Ou seja, tu somas as bandas de acesso à memória... LOL. Imagina que tens dois tubos ligados que transportam àgua. Ambos têm diâmetros diferentes. O primeiro tubo tem um diâmetro de 20 cm, o segundo tem um diametro de 2 cm, logo, a abertura total é 22 cm. É isso que eles te estão a dizer...

Já agora também adicionamos o acesso do GPU à eDRAM, acesso que são mais 32 GB/s. E, já agora adicionamos a banda GPU - CPU, que sãs 2x 10.8GB/s... e, mais o 1GB/s entre o GPU e o SouthBridge. Assim a XBox já fica com mais de 320GB/s de banda... tenham juízo...

1Ã,º, 256GB/s são dentro da eDRAM, ou seja, esse bus nem sequer chega a fornecer informação ao GPU...
2Ã,º, o bus eDRAM-GPU é de 32GB/s, logo, no máximo, poderiam pegar nesse valor.
3Ã,º, o bus GPU-CPU são 2x10.8GB/s e toda a gestão de memória é feita pelo GPU e não pelo CPU.

Não liguem 'a falta de acentos e a acentos colocados com o '. Não e' Leetspeak e' so' que o teclado não e' PT e não tem acentos.

Eu lembro-me... não ia correr porque não tinha HDD lol.

Esta geração de consolas é totalmente dominada pela Xbox (isto se não contarmos a Wii nesta geração mas sim numa geração à parte). A PS3 nem cheira... títulos que eram grandes exclusivos desde a PS1 deixaram de o ser... só tenho pena é que o MGS não tenha vindo para a Xbox também... ainda estou a pensar em comprar uma PS3 só para o jogar xD.

Isso é que eu gostava... é que não perdi um único até agora (tal como Final Fantasy\\'s que já os passei todos excepto o XI) e queria jogar este também.
