Estas são características mais importantes do novo Scirocco, um carro que virá com a mesma plataforma do Golf VI, mas com um designe totalmente inovador e uma altura mais baixa que seu irmão mais velho. Com 1,39 m de altura, o Scirocco é 10 cm mais baixo que o Golf europeu. No comprimento, 4,25 m, ele é cerca de 4,5 cm mais comprido e também um pouco mais largo, 1,79 cm, cerca de 3 cm mais largo que o Golf. O que podemos entender por, mais baixo e robusto. Estes motores são para manter um bom preço para o modelo, mas este desportivo terá também um 2.0 l com turbo de 200 cv vindo do Golf e, provavelmente, um V6. A VW também irá lançar motores a diesel para o mercado europeu.
