[ajuda] restaurar grub

bem o que se passou foi o seguinte... com o parition magic formatei a partição do disco onde tinha o ubuntu e quando riniciei o pc o Grub dava erro (acho que o grub é o menu onde eu escolhia que sistema operativo ia iniciar) parar tentar resolver o problema instalei o fedora 7 na dita partição formatada... mas  agora quando ligo o pc vai diretamente para o fedora e não me dá sequer a opção de ir para o windows... como é que posso ir para windows?

faz como root fdisk -l
ira aparecer o disco onde tens as particoes, em principio teras a do windows tambem la
entao fazes
update-grub /dev/hda ou sda ou o que o fdisk te mostrar como disco e reinicia com o comando reboot

mais um problema... o meu grub apagou-se.... tipo fiz o que disses-te e ficou tudo bem mas hoje tive de riniciar o pc e naquela parte da bios onde diz boot from cd aparece por baixo "GRUB" e nao sai daí e por aquilo que me disseram apagou-se... com é que faço para restaurar?

com 1 live cd de linux, restauras o grub fazendo update-grub
em principio ele detecta tudo e volta a criar aquele menu
